Facial Acupuncture, often called an 'Acupuncture Facelift,' or 'Cosmetic Acupuncture' is a gentle, non-surgical alternative to botox and other harsh cosmetic procedures. Facial Acupuncture uses fine, specialized needles on the face, scalp, and body to improve circulation, nourish the skin, and tone facial tissue. With improved microcirculation and tissue nourishment, the skin and muscles of the face are supported from within, resulting in a smoother, firmer, and brighter complexion to support graceful aging.

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, delivers powerful results with little to no downtime. A specialized microneedling pen is used to gently glide over the skin to create controlled micro-channels in the outer layer of the dermis. Each micro-channel prompts the skin to regenerate and repair itself, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Microneedling supports new, healthy tissue, resulting in improved texture and tone.

Follow-Up

Follow-up sessions for returning patients begin with a brief discussion of changes followed by treatment and herbal formula modifications as necessary. Treatments may include a range of complementary therapies such as massage, cupping, lifestyle advice, and dietary therapy.

Packages

Booking a series of follow-up visits is often recommended to build momentum with treatment. Packages support continuity of care, cultivating positive changes that deepen and build over time. *Payment is processed after your first visit and can be made in full or in three monthly installments.

Hannah’s exposure to Chinese medicine began at a young age. Her aunt was an acupuncturist, so she grew up with acupuncture, bodywork, and the holistic approach to health that Chinese medicine believes in. Hannah also attended Waldorf School for many years, where Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy instilled a deep interest in the natural world. The realization that we are a microcosm of nature gave her a deeper appreciation for the philosophies surrounding Chinese medicine. Early exposure to acupuncture and bodywork and a reverence for the natural world inspired Hannah to study Chinese medicine to bring these ideals into a capacity of helping others.

After graduating from Daoist Traditions College with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Hannah spent two years studying and working under Andrew and JulieAnn Nugent-Head at The Alternative Clinic in Asheville, North Carolina. Andrew and JulieAnn are renowned Chinese medicine practitioners dedicated to preserving and passing on China’s traditional knowledge. With a combined 36 years of experience in China, Andrew and JulieAnn studied directly under the last old doctors of Beijing. Their teachings have greatly influenced Hannah’s approach to treating patients using effective, tangible medicine.

During her time at The Alternative Clinic, Hannah completed over 1,000 hours of clinical observation with Andrew and JulieAnn along with managing her own patients. This invaluable opportunity brought traditional Chinese medicine theory to life in a clinical setting where Hannah could directly apply her experience and training to treat her own patients. Hannah is unique in that she has years of hands-on, post-graduate training under the mentorship of highly experienced practitioners.

Hannah is passionate about educating and empowering her patients with knowledge that extends into everyday life. She explains Chinese medicine theory and treatment strategy using clarity and common sense terms that are easy to understand. Hannah’s holistic approach to health incorporates acupuncture, bodywork, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary advice, and lifestyle adjustments as tools and techniques to treat a wide variety of medical concerns. Hannah is excited to share her passion for health and wellness with others and help them reach their goals and full potential through Chinese medicine.
